Cuban Nostalgia
Alberto Hernandez Garcia
Opening Reception - Nov 22, 6pm-9pm

Alberto Hernandez Garcia will be exhibiting his collection of works depicting memories of Cuba, from Afro-Cuban vignettes to folkloric images.

His work arises from his deep longing for the Cuba of yesteryear, with its love of the arts, and especially with Afro-Cuban music and culture. His childhood memories and images are captured on paper.

Alberto was born in Camaguey, Cuba in 1955 where he spent some of his childhood.  He arrived in the US in 1969 and received his art education in Newark School of Arts as well with master painter, Sergio Guerrero.
