Through an unusual set of circumstances, Clara has made five of her works available to Gallery Twenty-One for private auction for a three-day period only! You are part of a select group invited to participate in this private electronic auction.

The starting bid's for all works are $600. Clara's works normally sell for much, much more. Just send an email with your bid amount. The auction begins Sunday 10am and ends Wednesday 10am.

All works are 24" x 34". Watercolor on heavy hand made paper.

Oshun Ibú Kolé es inseparable de la tiñosa (buitre), con la cual trabaja. Su nombre significa "aquella la que recoge y recupera la basura y los polvos" Vigila la casa. Vive en una tinaja de barro. Se le puede poner a comer en una palangana con agua.

Oshun Ibu Itumu

Oshun Ibu Itumu posee el espíritu de un hombre. Es la auténtica guerrera amazona. Come chivos capados y chivas. Lleva una cadena alrededor de su sopera con las herramientas de Oggun colgadas. Hace cualquier tipo de trabajo.

Oshún Ibú Itumu es una fiera guerrera. Monta sobre un avestruz en la batalla. Cuando hace guerra en el agua, hace una escalera de cocodrilos. Vive en la laguna. Siempre está en compañía de Inle y Asojuano debido a las batallas. En tiempos de problemas sus hijos le ofrecen una chiva entera.

Clara Morera was born on July 21, 1944 in Cuba. She studied at the National School of Visual Arts and graduated from the San Alejandro Academy with a focus in painting, tapestry, soft scultpure, drawing, and multimedia installations. She has exhibited in many public collections, including: the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana in 1970, the Cuban Cultural House in Prague in 1980, the Museum of the Americas in Washington, D.C. in 1992, the Discovery Museum in Conneticut in 1998, and The Rye Art Center in New York in 2000.
